About this place
The River Ribble provides riverside walking close to Settle, with options for a short town outing or a longer walk north towards Stainforth. Settle's local visitor-information website has a walking page covering the riverside area and nearby destinations.
Choose the section you want to follow and check where it starts, where you will turn back and how you will return. A town riverside stroll and a walk out to Stainforth are different outings, with different distances and terrain. For wheelchair, pushchair or cycle access, confirm the particular path's surface, gates, gradients and permitted use before travelling. Follow local signs and check river conditions, especially after heavy rain.
