About this place
St Alkelda's is the parish church on Church Street in Giggleswick. The present building is largely early Tudor, with fabric from earlier churches. Its former parish once covered a much wider part of North Craven, including communities that now have their own parish churches.
The church continues to hold worship as well as welcoming interest in its history. Use its Church of England listing for service notices, facilities and contact details. If you are making a special visit to see the interior, confirm access beforehand and allow for services or private ceremonies. This is separate from Giggleswick School Chapel.
