About this place
Blue Otter offers self-drive narrowboat holidays starting from Skipton on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal. The Skipton boat is 50 feet long and designed for two passengers, with a double bedroom, kitchen, shower room and living area. This is holiday boat hire rather than a scheduled sightseeing cruise.
The operator includes boat-handling tuition and offers short breaks as well as longer hires. Route choices depend on available cruising time and current canal conditions; discuss locks, bridges and any navigation restrictions before planning an itinerary. Pets are accepted by prior arrangement. Check the operator's booking calendar for dates, hire terms and availability, and ask about boarding or access needs before reserving.
